Cookies for Santa

Our cookie making tradition was no different this year....except that I waited a little too long to buy sugar cookies. Santa got chocolate chip instead. Kids didn't care.

Here are some pictures of the boys decorating their cookies for Santa. Everytime one of the boys turned their head, Matty stole a bite of their cookies. We started with 24...look at how many we end up with. LOL

Santa enjoyed them!

Christmas Lane 2007

There is a farmer across the street from PJ's parents house, in Dover. They put on the Christmas Lane display every year. It is amazing. This was my first year going, and I brought Matty and William with me.

I think it might become a new tradition.
PJ, Nichole, Kayla, and Taylor. Kayla just turned 2.

I don't remember how tall the tree behind us is (much taller than me), but I remember it said there were 3500 lights on it.
Cheeky PJ.

There's my boy...riding a choo-choo!
Aww, such love. Five seconds later they were at each other's throats!

A Day at the Park

We went to the park on Kings and Bloomingdale today with Matty and Kayla. They had a good time, we got out of the house, and Nichole and I got lots of "reflection" time.
Me and Nichole.

Matty and Kayla sitting in a tree...wait, they weren't sitting in a tree. They were swinging.

Kayla was peeking around the slide pole...I thought it was so cute.

Dragons...Yuk

Charlie thought it would be fun to give Matty a temporary tattoo just like his. He found a book of them at Target, and Matty was so excited to be just like daddy.
It even had clouds like daddy's.
He wouldn't let me wash his arm for a week. When it finally came off, was when Nichole decided to put almost every tattoo in the book on him. He had one on each foot, two on each shin, kneeds, one around his belly button, a monster on his chest with his name above it. A star on his neck, and one on each arm. Its a wonder he didn't get ink poison. They are just about gone now, but try washing around those tattoos!

Riding 4-wheelers

Steven, Matty and I went over to Michelle and Cameron's house. The boys were playing with their motorcycle, and 4-wheeler, so Cameron let Steven take a turn. They also had a go-cart, but I ran out of batteries to take a pic.

Little Kayla Turns 2

Nichole and Kayla, opening the present we gave her for her second birthday. It is a toy Winnie the Pooh.
Matty asked for more cake.
All in all, Kayla cleaned up.

The party was at one of those Bounce-around Houses. There were all kinds of bounce houses for the kids to wear themselves out on. Even the grown ups went in. We had a blast, and we got tons of exercise.

There were also a few crashes (bodies collided) and minor bruises resulted.

Mom Decorated the House....

I got up into the attic and got all the Christmas decorations down...all by myself. I am so proud of myself!!

The tree was not as heavy as I thought it would be...the boxes were WAY heavier than I had planned. I put them on my head and held them with one hand, while I climbed down the ladder with the other.

The boys helped me decide where the lights were going. I was very close to getting up on the roof and putting lights up there, but I chickened out. The lights around the bushes were enough. I had enough ladders for one day.

I am determined to make this holiday something special.

I have joined an online support group, and am feeling very encouraged about my future. Whatever happens in the coming year, it has to be better than 2007!

Making Pumpkin Bread with Mom

Mommy bought pumpkin bread (aka "cake") for us to make. I got to do most of it all by myself!

I got to lick the batter.

Cheese!

Matty and Paige on Gretch's B-Day

Playing on Matty's new swing set, while Gretch went for a run.
