First day of School

Mikey is wearing American Eagle, completed by Converse sneakers. He is totally stylin'!

Steven is rockin' out with Hollister, and brings it all together with "DC" sneakers. They are the happening thing.

Look at these stylin' boys!!
You know, I remember how good it felt when you had that perfect first day of school outfit. I am so happy I could give that to the kids.

Concentration

Look, and he even puts the caps back on and puts them in the container where they belong!!!! I cannot tell you how excited this makes mommy.

He sat here very quietly while I cooked dinner. They are putting reclaimed water in our neighborhood, and the workers cut the cable/Internet line today. I think we have discovered a new past time...and don't worry, Grammy, the markers are washable.

The Three Musketeers

The Three Musketeers went to the Back To School Bash, sponsored by Publix, today. The boys got to taste the new treats that companies have created for school lunches. They got free samples, toys, and they got to make these really cool hats.

Matty even sat still long enough to have his face painted. You have to look really close, because he had almost rubbed it off by the time we got home.

We are so excited to have our pictures taken, for all the world to see.

We are taking another step toward being a "Big Boy"

Matty and I decided to try big boy pants. We went to Wal-Mart and browsed the selection. In the end, he chose THREE packs. I couldn't quite pry the extra two out of his little arms, so all three came home. His favorite are the "Cars" ones he is wearing in the picture below.
I know, they are a bit droopy on the hiney, but they were the smallest pair they had. I am hoping they will shrink a little in the wash.
He was a little embarrassed over the excitement, so he decided to hide...
Really, he is so proud!
Here is a look at the other two designs he chose.
Diego.....

and plain boxer briefs, like big brothers have.
He did really well, for the first night. He wore them for 2 hours, and he didn't have an accident. We sat on the potty twice, just in case. Tomorrow we are going for 4 hours. It was really a fight putting the pull-up on for bedtime. He didn't want to wear "baby pants". I guess that is a good thing; maybe it will make him try harder to keep the "big boy pants" on.

Oh Mr. Sun....

Matty got a new giant size set of sidewalk chalk, so he asked (really really nicely) if we could go outside and color when he came home from school today. Of course, I couldn't resist his "please".

He was so excited, because mommy did most of the drawing. Mommy was so excited about this too. After a while he decided to help.

He got really excited when we drew the sunshine. He sang the sunshine song he learned at school. It took mommy a few versus to realize what he was singing...but I got it.

Matty decided he wanted to go for a "ride" on the boat....

This is what his pants looked like when he stood up.

Mr. Golden Sun
Oh Mister Sun, Sun, Mister Golden Sun,
Please shine down on me
Oh Mister Sun, Sun, Mister Golden Sun,
Hiding behind a tree...
These little children are asking you
To please come out
So we can play with you
Oh Mister Sun, Sun, Mister Golden Sun,
Please shine down on me!
Oh Mister Sun, Sun, Mister Golden Sun,
Please shine down on me
Oh Mister Sun, Sun, Mister Golden Sun,
Hiding behind a tree...
These little children are asking you
To please come out
So we can play with you
Oh Mister Sun, Sun, Mister Golden Sun,
Please shine down on...Please shine down on...
Please shine down on me!
