Mama got a new car!!

I am so excited!! I have been driving the same ol' Mini Van for 9 years, and now viola!!

A 2007 Honda CR-V (Lovingly picked out by Daryl)

I really wanted a MINI Cooper, and I found a good deal on one. Daryl and I test drove it on Friday night, and we both fell in love. But it only has four seats. I thought about strapping one of the kids to the roof, but it was a convertible...so that wouldn't work.
In the end, Daryl convinced me that getting the CRV was a better spend right now, and down the road we will get a fun car together. :) That was all the motivation I needed.

High Tech Food Cooler

We picked out a new fridge. I was tired of mopping up the old one. It froze up and then melted on a daily basis.

And to top it all off...the towel I had permanently laid on the floor in front of the fridge can now be used on cars. :)

This means war!

The boys (and I include Daryl in that) decided to spend a little Christmas money on Nerf Guns....and then wage war; on each other.

They invited the neighborhood to come out and play too!

Motley crew...

And their off!...

Gotcha!

That was fast...they went from enemies, to being on the same side. Daryl didn't think he would be able to avoid Matty for too long, did he?

Go ahead...make my day.

They were worn out!
The video below is just one of the few I captured on my camera. They made me laugh so hard. They ran around hiding behind bushes, cars, walls, and trees.
I sat and pulled weeds while they played.

I Played in the Snow...Sortof...

I should have kept my mouth shut. I kept telling everyone I hadn't ever driven in snow before. Guess karma caught up with me.

Its so pretty.

It wasn't as bad as I thought. The only thing I hadn't really planned on was the parking lots. Nobody tells you that they don't plow the parking lots...well they do, but just the main areas, which makes the snow build up around the actual spaces.

See...this was the last space available at the hotel. I had about six inches to get out of the car, unless I wanted to walk in that big pile of snow.
I did ok.
