I must be so bored!...

I couldn't stand looking at the numbers for my house another minute! The guy I paid $10 to last year must have been drunk or something, cause the numbers were all crooked, and run together. My "1" looked like a seven, and my "3" looked more like an eight. So I got fed up...or I was bored and my obsessiveness kicked in...and I repainted them. I even did it free hand, no stencils.

Look how pretty!! I realized afterward that I should have gotten a before and after shot.....doh!

Look, see waaaay at the top of the picture (below), that's the neighbor's numbers. You can barely see it. They have all faded. Now mine is bright and shiny. Just in case "9-1-1" has to find my house. :-)

Next project? The mail box, which now looks disgustingly greenish/grey next to the beautiful new white paint. The tree that hangs over it made it turn yuk! The rest of the mail boxes on my street look new and pretty. Don't know how I missed that. Fixing it on Saturday.

I am so excited about my numbers....so bright and not smeared. I will sleep easier tonight. I really tossed and turned about it all last night.

Don't judge me.

Girls just wanna have fun!

Nichole invited me, and mom, to go out last night. We were bar hopping...or should I call it skipping?? We went to Chili's and ate appetizers and drank....a lot. Then we went over to O'Briens to maybe dance, but the music wasn't the best dancing music so we drank some more.

It was a fun night.

These ladies made us laugh so hard my cheeks were sore all night, and my stomach even hurt.

The one on the end (on the right) told us her husband was alligator hunting. When she asked him where he was planning on putting this alligator, when he caught it, he said "in the yard". Her response was, "Not unless its shoes or a wallet, ....or maybe a purse!"

The one in the middle (on the right) is a "f'n librarian", who told us the stories about "bitches" that complain about a $2.00 overdue fine. One person said, to her, "I pay your salary!", so she asked if the lady wanted her dime back.

The one sitting right next to Nichole was the FUNNIEST! She kept us laughing all night.

We really have to go out again....soon!

First day of school!

Holy cow, I can't believe I have two kids in middle school!

They required $139.23 worth of supplies, not including the backpacks and the clothes! That was just to get the items the teachers required for each class. Rip off Florida!

Sixth graders don't get lockers, so Steven will have to cart his stuff around all year. Mike does get a locker, but isn't allowed to carry his back pack to classes, so he had to get one that was compact enough to fold up and put into his locker...but not take up all the space.

Look!...he is brushing his teeth and hair!!!

LOL! If he looks like he is in pain (below), its because he spent the weekend with Charlie and got sunburned. He couldn't smile too big.

Mom over estimated the time it would take him to get ready, so he sat around waiting to leave.

Hmm, not gonna see this sight anymore! (Mike ran up a cell phone bill of $450, because he used about 8000 minutes....way over his plan. He also used 18,200 text messages, which were unlimited, but come on!?!) The cell phone is bye-bye.

Time to go...

They were actually excited for the first time in a long time. They both couldn't wait to wear their new clothes, and new shoes.

I still can't believe I have two kids in middle school...and I have to look up to one of them.

There are so many things wrong with this picture...

I received this in the "post" today. It came all the way from England. Golly golly gee! What a lucky girl am I?

Look close...you might miss it.

I think Matty's face sums it up nicely!

Making Mickey Mouse Pancakes...

When I asked Matty if he wanted to have pancakes for breakfast on Saturday, his eyes lit up and he asked if we could have Mickey Mouse ones. I told him sure (kinda wondering where he would get that idea from...but hey, I was game). He asked, "Can we have sprinkles on them, and I can decorate it like Cheri made me?".

OK, so after I threw up, I decided that I was not going to let some teenager make better pancakes than me.

So in my usual over-do-it style, he got chocolate chip Mickey, Minnie, Donald, and Daisy pancakes with sprinkles, mnm's, and freakin' cool-whip!! All that really mattered was his great big smile.

Helping mommy.

Mickey ones on the left, Minnie on the right (with her bow).

Donald on the left, Daisy on the right (with her bow). Don't ask how the heck I did it...I think it was pure determination.

Matty decorating his Mickeys.

All done, and ready to be gobbled up.

So full!
Lets wash it all down with a big gulp of milk.

We had a good time together.
We are going to do it again soon.
