Happy Halloween!

We have Zorro, the Masked Crusader.
Robin Hood, stealing candy from the poor and well...eating it. PJ let Steven borrow a real bow and arrow for the night. That was really neat.
The Jail Bird, who is on the run...
And Mickey Mouse!!!
I am so happy we didn't have any scary costumes this year, but that didn't prevent Miley from cowering in her crate. She was terrified of the kids. So worried about them that we had to put her in another room, because she wouldn't stop barking at them.

My favorite part of the night was how excited the kids were. Matty would run from house to house, and his little yellow feet were just going and going. He hung in there until we were almost to the end. We had two houses to go, and he decided he was done.

We also had two little cheerleaders. For some reason I didn't get one of Taylor (except the one with half of her cut off below), even though I wanted to catch one of her blue teeth.
And of course, per tradition, the kids walked in the door and dumped their buckets on the floor and went to town.

Even a big kid sat down to enjoy some treats....ha!
Actually, Nichole and I had our own candy bowl. It was full of sugar free candy. It was exactly what we needed to keep us from gaining back all the weight we have lost.

His new Magnetic Toys!

Great Gram bought Matty a magnetic building toy. It has lots of little panels that stick together with magnets. There are little squares, big squares, triangles, etc.

He stood by the table for TWO hours playing with his toy today. He kept building things, and then changing them. Then he would knock it down, and start over.

Look, his little tongue is hanging out....like Jake.

This was his "wocket". He was so proud of it...but it still didn't take him long to crash it down and start something new.

Birthday Boy Turns Three!

"Its my birthday, an' I'm five," he told everyone for the entire week. I think he got confused, because when he tries to hold his fingers up in a "3" everyone always says, "No that's five" (cause he can't do just three), so now he is convinced he is turning five.

He loves his new haircut. He couldn't wait for Grammy to get here so he could show her. It was a surprise.

The bounce house was a big hit. I think we are going to get one of these more often.

Matty's new play ground. He is so excited.

Daddy bought him a sandbox, and Nichole and PJ bought stuff to play in the sand box.
All the kids loved digging in the sand.

Even Mommy and Nichole jumped. Whew, what a workout!!! It looks much easier than it is. We hung with the kids, and earned extra points for cake and ice cream.

The pictures of cake, and blowing out candles were taken on another camera (and I don't have them yet). As soon as I get them I will add them. He had a Go, Diego, Go! cake.

All in all, it was a very nice day. It stayed overcast, so it wasn't too hot. It didn't rain, and we had a nice time. It was very relaxing. I need more days like this.

The Haircut...

PJ is fed up with my children's long hair, so he asked me if he could take Matty for a haircut today. He picked him up from school, and sent me the picture of "After".
(I gave him permission to do whatever he wanted).
Matty was SO excited to go with him, he told PJ he wanted a haircut just like his, but PJ had a better idea. I love it!
Maybe I can talk Steven into getting a haircut with PJ too....I will have to work on that.

Rock'n Roll Dudes, Rock'n Roll...

While Rick was visiting the boys, he brought their guitar over to our house. The boys (including Matty) absolutely loved it.
Mikey showed us he could pick out a few notes...

Rick taught Matty how to....well lets just say he made lots of noise.

Steven chilled, and watched his dad play.

I don't think I have ever seen them sitting so still.

It was fun.

Babysitting the girls....

I got to babysit PJ and Nichole's girls while they had a grown up night. It was so nice to have the scales tipped to the other side of the gender scale.

I kept them busy watching a movie. They set up their chairs to sit next to each other...right in front of the TV.

After the first picture, they realized they were being watched.

Well, that movie was a little boring. Kayla lost interest, and decided to be a monkey. Then we tried to put on "Mermaids" but the VCR isn't connected to the new TV, and I couldn't find the cable. That didn't go over well.

Look at this face!!! He decided he liked having me all to himself.

We have decided that Matty and Kayla will be married when they grow up.
